Abstract
Cryptococcal meningitis is an infrequent primary presentation of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). We report the case of a 33-year-old man with previously undiagnosed AIDS who presented with gait disturbance, acute blindness, and rapidly fatal neurologic deterioration. Cryptococcal meningitis was diagnosed by India ink smear and AIDS was diagnosed by Western Blot testing.Entities:
