Abstract
We report a case of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) tracheal resection and running suture anastomosis with only endobronchial intubation in a patient with adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC). The tumor extended 3.2 × 1.9 cm in the distal trachea, and the distance to carina was 2 cm. Running suture anastomosis around the endobronchial tube was performed. No cross-field intubation was needed. The postoperative course was good and no complication occurred. VATS tracheal resection and running suture anastomosis with only endobronchial intubation is a feasible option for patients with distal tracheal tumor.Entities:
