Abstract
Postoperative thrombosis is a devastating complication after a microvascular free-tissue transfer. We are reporting the case of a clinical free osteomyocutaneous flap (fibula, peroneal, and soleus muscle, and skin) which suffered recalcitrant postoperative venous thrombosis and was salvaged only after isolated selective infusion of streptokinase. The use of a fibrinolytic agent or plasminogen activator for this purpose in humans has not previously been reported.Entities:
