Abstract
This report presents a classic case of CMV esophagitis, which may be puzzling to distinguish from other infectious esophageal lesions. Giant (>1 cm) and deep esophageal lesions in immunocompromised patients may suggest CMV esophagitis. A biopsy with immunostaining is needed to confirm the diagnosis.Entities:
