To assess the quality of the articles, the criteria set out in the OSTEBA critical reading sheets were followed (High quality means that studies present the following items correctly and clearly: research question, methodology, results, conclusions, conflict of interest and external validity)(13).
The risk of bias was assessed using the STROBE criteria for quantitative studies (range 0–22 points).
