Abstract
We report a case of an asymptomatic pelvic mass that was found during examination for a left ureteral stone. After stone management preoperative computerized tomography demonstrated a 6 by 6 cm. midline pelvic mass posterior to the bladder. Lumbar angiography was normal. A liver/spleen scan and splenic angiography were not performed. At exploration the mass was found to be an accessory pelvic spleen. The embryology, presentation, diagnosis and treatment are discussed.Mesh:
