CLINICAL VIDEOS

An 82‐year‐old man presented with dyspnea. His blood pressure was 150/50 mm Hg showing a wide pulse pressure. Physical examination revealed an early diastolic decrescendo murmur on auscultation, a visibly pulsatile with rapid upstroke and descent on his left upper arm (Water hammer pulse) (Video S1) and the right carotid artery (Corrigan's pulse) (Video S2). A transthoracic echocardiography showed severe aortic regurgitation (AR). He underwent aortic valve replacement, and water hammer pulses subsided (Video S3). Corrigan's pulse is characterized by the abrupt distension and quick collapse of carotid arteries in AR, whereas water hammer pulse is observed in peripheral arteries. ,
