Abstract
This case study reports a pediatric case of a combined hamartoma of the retina and retinal pigment epithelium (CHR-RPE) successfully treated with pars plana vitrectomy (PPV), membrane peeling, and internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling. In this rare tumor, adding ILM peeling to the surgical treatment of CHR-RPE with epiretinal membrane may result in a favorable outcome. Copyright:Entities:

Figure 1(a) Preoperative color fundus photo demonstrating the presence of an elevated macular lesion with vascular distortion. (b) Horizontal-cut macular optical coherence tomography through the lesion showing disorganized thickened retina with traction and undulating surface. (c) Vertical-cut optical coherence tomography through the center of the lesion showing distorted retina with an undulating surface
Figure 2(a) 16-month post-internal limiting membrane peeling color fundus photo showing the absence of the lesion. (b) Horizontal-cut optical coherence tomography showing flat retina with the absence of distortion and traction. (c) Vertical-cut optical coherence tomography showing more stratified retina
