Abstract
Background: In the immunocompetent adult primary cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection may present as prolonged febrile illness or may resemble infectious mononucleosis. Hence, establishing a diagnosis of primary CMV infection may be challenging, in particular in the hospital setting.Entities:
