Abstract
OBJECTIVE: Mechanical ventilation is sometimes initiated in the general ward (GW) due to the shortage of intensive care unit (ICU) beds. We investigated whether invasive mechanical ventilation (MV) started in the GW affects the patient's prognosis compared with its initiation in the ICU.Entities:
