Abstract
BACKGROUND: Alcohol misuse is higher in the UK armed forces (AF) than in the general population. Research demonstrates that alcohol misuse persists after an individual leaves service, and this is notably the case for those who are seeking help for a mental health difficulty. Despite this, there is no work on testing a mobile alcohol reduction intervention that is personalized to support the UK AF.Entities:

aDuring the study, Apple (developer of the iOS operating system) changed policies related to how developers could track and monitor usage of an app. This required specific user content, which could be modified outside the app. It is therefore not possible to ascertain whether a user did not give data because they were not using the app or whether they declined to share app usage statistics.
