Midgut volvulus in the adult. A complication of intestinal malrotation.

Abstract

We report two cases of abnormalities in the second and third stages of intestinal rotation and fixation which presented in adulthood as recurrent midgut volvulus. We review the embryology, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of this problem.
