Notes: The numerator represents the number of isolates sensitive to the listed antibiotic, and the denominator represents the number of isolates that underwent susceptibility testing with the listed antibiotics. The percentages in the parentheses represent the rates of antibiotic sensitivities.
Figure 1Time trend of overall antibiotic susceptibility rate from 2011 to 2020 in Qingdao Eye Hospital. Some antibiotics were omitted as the numbers of isolates that underwent susceptibility testing were not comparable between periods. The overall susceptibility rate for Ceftazidime decreased significantly from 81.58% in 2011–2015 to 60.87% in 2016–2018 (P<0.05). Similarly, Tobramycin decreased from 72.36% to 59.37% (P<0.05) and Gentamicin from 69.56% to 55.00% (P<0.05).
