Abstract
Following a trip-and-fall injury, a 22-year-old male was misdiagnosed with myofascial herniation of his tibialis anterior muscle. After a diagnostic work-up, the correct diagnosis was identified: a foreign body in the tibialis anterior. His case describes the physical examination and diagnostic imaging findings expected in myofascial herniation while highlighting the ramifications of an incomplete differential diagnosis.Entities:
