[Successful removal of mediastinal tumors that were inoperable at the first intervention].

Two operations each were performed on two children for malignant mediastinal tumours which had been inoperable, in the first place. The tumours not removable at the first attempt were reduced in size by radiotherapy and cytostatics and could then be removed in a second session.
