Abstract
Background: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma's tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) plays an important role in tumorigenesis and progression, but its clinical significance remains unclear. Therefore, the TIME needs to be better understood in order to improve the response of diagnosis and therapy.Entities:

FIGURE 1Identification of immune-associated subtypes of HNSCC in the TCGA cohort. (A) Cumulative distribution function (CDF) curves of consensus scores based on different subtype numbers (k = 2–10) and the corresponding colors are represented. (B) CDF Delta area curve of all samples when k = 3. (C) Consensus score matrix of HNSCC samples when k = 3 (1 = C1, 2 = C2, and 3 = C3). (D) Principal component analysis (PCA) of the gene expression profile of the upregulated genes. (E) Gene expression heatmap analysis of the top 100 genes that were significantly upregulated in each subtype.
