Abstract
Background: Hyperhomocysteinemia plays an important role in the anovulation in infertile women suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). However, long-term metformin therapy elevated homocysteine (Hcy) concentration in these individuals. Inositol increases serum insulin levels and improves ovulation.
