Abstract
Background: Clinical interventions for patients after a suicide attempt might include a focus on Reasons for Living (RFL) and/or Reasons for Dying (RFD). The present study examined the longitudinal development of RFL and RFD in patients with and without a suicide-specific intervention - the Attempted Suicide Short Intervention Program (ASSIP).Entities:

Outcome for suicidal ideation is Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation (BSS). Bold coefficients are significant at p < 0.05. Model is linear for suicidal ideation and ordinal logistic regression for suicide reattempts. For suicide attempts, outcome is the sum of attempts in the current and future period, e.g. t2 to t5 for RFD at t2 and t4 to t5 for RFD at t4.
