Abstract
Malachite green (MG) is a dye that has been presented to use as photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy (PDT). Nonlinear absorption coefficient (β) and nonlinear refractive index (n2) of MG formulations with micelles and its encapsulation are studied aiming PDT. Encapsulation of MG was prepared by the mixture of water droplet in the continuous phase of oil, stabilized with surfactant. MG interacts with micelles and reverses micelle (RM), and the results are related to the size and concentration of micelles, RM, surfactant charge types. At low capsule size, the 1/β linearly increases by the increase of volume fraction of water droplet, while, an exponential behavior was observed in the higher capsule size.Entities:
