Fortuitous discovery of a left atrial myxoma following acute myocardial infarction.

Abstract

Routine echocardiography following acute myocardial infarction revealed a large totally asymptomatic left atrial myxoma. One year after excision of the myxoma and coronary artery by-pass grafting, the patient remains well.
