Fracture of the thumb sesamoid bones.

C A Hansen, T H Peterson.

Abstract

Two cases of sesamoid fracture of the thumb are reported. The condition is presumably underdiagnosed because of incomplete ossification of the bone. If pain persists after immobilization, excision of the bone is curative.
