Abstract
Objective: Catatonia is a neuropsychiatric condition occurring across the age spectrum and associated with great morbidity and mortality. While prospective cohorts have investigated catatonia incidence among psychiatric patients, no studies have comprehensively explored the incidence of catatonia in general hospitals. We examine the incidence of catatonia diagnosis, demographics of catatonia patients, comorbidities, and inpatient procedures utilized among pediatric patients hospitalized with catatonia in the United States.Entities:

Included are all primary and secondary discharge diagnoses for all hospitalizations, so individual hospitalizations may include up to 40 of the below codes. Bolded rows are PECCS categories, and under each category are individual ICD-10-CM codes contributing to that category. The top 3 codes (diagnosed >10 times) are included for each category.
