The QT interval and cardiac arrhythmias.

B Surawicz.

Abstract

The relation between the QT interval, ventricular arrhythmias, and dispersion of ventricular repolarization is reviewed. Conditions associated with prolonged QT interval in clinical practice are listed and discussed briefly. There is no conclusive evidence that prolonged QT is an independent prognostic marker in patients with coronary and other types of heart disease.
