Abstract
Introduction: The anterior compartment of the arm consists of three muscles: the biceps brachii (BB), brachialis, and coracobrachialis muscle. The aim of the present study was to characterize possible variations in the supernumerary heads of the biceps brachii and use these to prepare an accurate classification of the area that could be used for planning surgical procedures in the region. Material and Methods. One hundred (51 left and 49 right, 52 females and 48 males) upper limbs fixed in 10% formalin solution were examined.Entities:
