Abstract
Natural products are mainly secondary metabolites produced by plants, microorganisms, and animals, which are still abundant in modern drug discovery. Terpenoids are the most diverse group of natural products, attracting extensive attention owing to their various biological activities. This manuscript reviewed the chemical structures, anti-inflammatory activities, and mechanisms of action of 281 terpenoid natural products reported from 2010 to the present. Their biological targets and both in vitro and in vivo screening models were also surveyed and statistically summarized. This review will provide potential anti-inflammatory lead compounds and helpful information to researchers engaged in natural products and anti-inflammatory drug discovery.Entities:
