Identifying Diagnoses of Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorder in Large Data Sets.

Abstract

Reviewing 48 instead of 12 months of patients' care history reduced estimated rates of new schizophrenia spectrum disorder diagnoses, because historical diagnoses were detected for >40% of patients. Among participants with 48 months of historical data, 63% had a care history involving multiple payers.
