Background: The use of sanitation facilities is known to interrupt the transmission of fecal-oral related diseases. However, the evidence was limited about the utilization of latrines within the rural community of Takussa district. Hosmer and Lemeshow goodness of fit test was 0.795 (ie, >0.05) and the test result of VIF was <10 for each independent variables in the final model. Therefore, the actual test result (⩽3) is confirmed that no multicolinearity was observed.
