Abstract
The aim was to identify the prevalence and correlates of coronavirus anxiety in the nationally representative adult population in Germany (N = 3,075) via an online survey conducted in August/September 2021. The Coronavirus Anxiety Scale was used to quantify coronavirus anxiety. In sum, 71.2% of the respondents did not report coronavirus anxiety at all (i.e., a score of zero). The average score for coronavirus anxiety was 1.3 (SD: 2.9, ranging from 0 to 20). Several correlates were identified via two-part models. Knowledge about the correlates of coronavirus anxiety may assist in providing targeted support to individuals at risk of high anxiety levels.Entities:
