Abstract
Background: The number of hemodialysis patients has dramatically increased over the years. The cost of healthcare provision to those patients has been rising as well. In addition, pain management during arteriovenous fistula (AVF) cannulation is an important aspect of nursing care. Patients' outcomes and appropriate pain control are one of the most critical issues in healthcare.
