Principles and clinical validity of the biomagnetic method.

G L Romani, L Narici.

Abstract

We present a review of the basic principles of the biomagnetic method, and of the most significant results obtained in the measurement of magnetic fields of the human heart and brain. Particular emphasis is given to the applications of the technique which are providing important progress to clinical investigation. We also point out the present technological perspectives and suggest areas where further efforts can be particularly convenient.
