Abstract
Background: While neighborhood safety and stranger danger have been mostly canonized to play a part in parents' physical activity (PA) avoidance, less is known about the impact of parental stress and perceived risk on children's PA avoidance and consequently on children's level of PA and wellbeing. Understanding the contributors to children's wellbeing during pandemic disease is the first critical step in contributing to children's health during epidemic diseases.Entities:

Parents’ influence on children’s PA and wellbeing during COVID-19.
Recommended physical activity (PA) based on age group.
| Age group | Physical activity duration |
| Preschool-aged children (3–5 years) | Physical activity every day throughout the day. Active play through a variety of enjoyable physical activities. |
| Children and adolescents (6–17 years) | 60 min (1 h) or more of moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity daily. A variety of enjoyable physical activities. |
| Adults (18–64 years) | At least 150 min a week of moderate intensity activity such as brisk walking. At least 2 days a week of activities that strengthen muscles. |
