Abstract
This paper discusses in theoretical and practical terms how the Desistance Paradigm offers a powerful and underexplored potential alliance with Therapeutic Jurisprudence, especially regarding the social reintegration of those who break the law. As such, this paper presents a description of the Therapeutic Justice and Desistance Paradigm, along with their main findings and theoretical scope, to then present a discussion of how these two approaches share a common horizon (which are not only limited to practices and techniques, but also to legal structures and procedures). Finally, it concludes with some future challenges for which the convergence of these two paradigms can offer fruitful developments within the criminal justice system.Entities:
