Injectable anesthetic agents and techniques in ruminants and swine.

Abstract

This article reviews the use of injectable anesthetic agents in cattle, sheep, goats, and swine. Emphasis is placed on short-term general anesthesia. Methods and drugs employed for continuous intravenous infusion are discussed. Capture drugs for fetal animals are briefly reviewed, as is electroimmobilization.
