Fig. 4A case shows the development of mesiodens-related complication over time. In a 7-years-old patient’s sagittal (A), coronal (B), and 3-dimensional (C) cone-beam computed tomographic (CBCT) images taken from, a mesiodens is in a horizontal posteroanterior direction and in direct contact with the apex of immature permanent maxillary right central incisor. In the respective CBCT images (D-F) taken 1 year later, the mesiodens changes its direction toward the midline and the abnormal root formation of the right central incisor is seen.
