Ventricular tachycardia from myocarditis following COVID-19 vaccination: Correspondence.

We would like to share ideas on the publication “Ventricular tachycardia from myocarditis following COVID‐19 vaccination with tozinameran (BNT162b2, Pfizer‐BioNTech). ” Lin et al. noted that “We present a case of myocarditis following vaccination with Tozinameran (BNT162b2, Pfizer‐BioNTech), which presented late, with ventricular tachycardia (VT) reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). ” The COVID‐19 vaccine might cause some clinical problems including myocarditis. In the present case, the patient had myocarditis and ventricular tachycardia. The problem might or might not be associated with the vaccine. Since there is data on prevaccination cardiac status of the patient, the conclusion on interrelationship is difficult. The cardiac problem in a vaccine recipient might be due to several reasons. The background cardiac problem and concurrent medical disorder have to be ruled out. An example of concurrent medical problem is arbovirus infection. The concurrent arbovirus infection might cause myocarditis and can result in ventricular tachycardia.
