Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is associated with a higher prevalence of depression, neuropathic pain and insomnia. These conditions are often treated pharmaceutically. The table shows the percentages of (type of) antidepressant prescribed in individuals with an antidepressant prescription. The prescription rates of SSRIs, TCAs and other add up to >100%, which indicates that some individuals were prescribed more than one antidepressant from different classes.
