Abstract
The main approaches to studying the genetics of alcoholism have been twin and adoption studies. Twin studies have demonstrated differences between monozygotic and dizygotic twin pairs in regard to alcohol use, but tend to be contradictory with regard to alcoholism. Most adoption studies suggest a genetic predisposition to alcoholism in some individuals.Entities:
