Abstract
The innominate artery of a patient requiring prolonged mechanical ventilation was palpated in the inferior portion of his tracheostomy wound. Life-threatening hemorrhage was prevented by rotation of a local muscle flap the protect the artery and rotation of pedicled skin flaps to create a permanent tracheostomy.Entities:
