DR: deliberate rumination; IR: intrusive rumination; PTD: posttraumatic depreciation; PTG: posttraumatic growth.
Male gender was used as baseline.
Variable was dichotomized, low education was used as baseline (low education included lowest formal, intermediary secondary and pupils, high education included higher secondary and university degree).
Variable was classified: “Self experience” included: “It happened to me directly”.
Variable was classified: “Someone else” included: “I witnessed it” and “I learned about it happening to a close family member or close friend”.
Variable was classified: “Experience in job” included cases when trauma occurred in job and cannot be further specified if happened to self or someone else. For further information see statistical analysis.
