Abstract
The development of computer-assisted instruction (CAI) is discussed and definition of major concepts is presented. The three major types of CAI (drill and practice, tutorials, and simulations) are defined and examples given for each. The impact of CAI in nursing is discussed and several CAI systems are described.Entities:
