Abstract
Importance: Early identification of children on the autism spectrum is crucial to facilitate access to early supports and services for children and families. Parents and caregivers completed a demographic questionnaire, which included questions regarding parental country of birth and ethnicity, to enable comparison of the sample with the population of greater Melbourne. Ethnicity options were defined by the parent or caregiver completing the questionnaire and were later grouped by the researchers for analyses.
