Abstract
This chapter provides details on the methodologies currently used to monitor macrophage cholesterol efflux in vivo in mice. The general principles and techniques described herein can be applied to evaluate the effect of different experimental pathophysiological conditions or the efficacy of different therapeutic strategies on the modulation of in vivo cholesterol efflux to plasma acceptors and the rate of reverse transport of unesterified cholesterol from macrophages to feces in mice.Entities:
