Abstract
PURPOSE: Quality of life can be negatively impacted by the formation of a stoma and is influenced by a number of factors. Research to date treats people with a stoma as a homogenous group based on their quality of life. We attempted to identify subgroups based upon self-reported quality of life and explored variables associated with group membership.Entities:

Bonferroni post-hoc tests difference at p < .05 between each class on each subscale (1 = Consistently good quality of life, 2 = Some quality of life concerns, 3 = Low quality of life, 4 = Financial concerns), e.g. for Work/social function ‘1 > 2,3’ means that profile 1 has a mean score that is larger than profiles 2 and 3 and this is statistically significant at p < .05
