Patellectomy.

M A Kelly, J N Insall.

Abstract

Patellectomy has been controversial for many years. The divergence of clinical and experimental data in the literature makes it difficult to draw definitive conclusions regarding the success of the procedure. This article reviews the available literature and compares the results of patellectomies in young and old patients at The Hospital for Special Surgery.
