Abstract
Four cases are discussed that had a preventable complication following coronary bypass surgery. Infection was associated with retained transthoracic pacemaker leads. These case reports should serve to remind us of the importance of removal of all possible foreign objects from our patients to prevent rare but serious complications.Entities:
