Abstract
The creation of developmentally appropriate and meaningfully complex clinical reasoning exercises in the pre-clerkship curriculum is a common challenge for many medical schools. We provide an overview of one component of the pre-clerkship clinical reasoning curriculum at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and present evidence that inclusion of Health Systems Science in this exercise facilitates integrated thinking in a Problem-Based Learning curriculum.Entities:
