BACKGROUND: The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a disruption in childhood immunization coverage around the world. *The Ontario publicly funded immunization program transitioned from the monovalent Rota-1 vaccine (Rotarix) that required two doses at 2 and 4 months to the pentavalent Rota-5 vaccine (RotaTeq) that requires three doses at 2, 4 and 6 months of age around mid-2018 [36].
