Abstract
Modifications of traditional stereotactic procedures have provided new options for the diagnosis and treatment of intracranial intra-axial neoplasms. The development of specific computer software for the incorporation of CT, MRI, and digital angiography data bases into a stereotactically defined computer image matrix for treatment planning and for interactive surgery allows a precision never before possible. These tumors may be stereotactically biopsied and treated by the stereotactic implantation of radionuclide sources or resected using computer-assisted stereotactic laser microsurgical techniques.Entities:
