Abstract
INTRODUCTION: In Japan, low birthweight (LBW) of infants is a major public health concern. Gestational weight gain (GWG) may be associated with LBW of infants. On the other hand, maternal smoking during pregnancy is a well-known factor associated with infant birthweight.
