Abstract
The European Union (EU) has adopted regulation 2019/1009 on fertilizing products with effect from July 2022. However, conflicts exist between the identity of microorganisms designated as biostimulants in the regulation and their affiliation according to recent phylogenetic sequence-based systematics. Here the problems are described, and possible solutions are proposed.Entities:
